I`ve seen lower levels with 15K armor... Its not that hard to get if you`ve got the money, just have to get a runner to Grotto or Citadel using the cash earned from another character. Don`t forget that you can use the Xunlai Chest to transfer items from one character to another.

Don't think anything about that.
Like Fujin said, it's easy to get when you have some cash available. |

Eh, it's nothing new.
The few times I do sit around a town and see it I think nothing of it. It's pretty damn easy to accomplish. |

I have seen a level 2 with 15k Armor in The Grotto long time ago; this isn't new.

About the only thing I can think is that it is a waste of time - it doesn't even take that much gold. Then it means you can not play your character lest they get too high a level.
The only exception to that is if (like I once did) you found it cheaper to get a run to the outpost than purchasing 1.5k armor (I knew I wanted an Ele as a long term character, knew which armor I wanted, and I had the gold). But then, you rarely saw that character in town either as I was playing it. That was a long time ago, no idea how much a run now costs. |

There`s no point in buying 15K armor at a low level... Sure, it shows that you`re rich, but do people even care? Well... at least I don`t |

Nothing new, people these days who are of a low level and have 15k armor think they are the bomb diggity but it's nothing special. Having 15k armor now-a-days isn't that amazing.

Should I waste my money buying x sets of armor before hand just so I can say I "got it the right way by waiting until I was in that area"? 15k armor isn't even that expensive anymore. Getting run by guildies or even yourself if you run dual clients = free run. If you've been around, you likely have the materials already stocked up. So all it takes is the cash for the armor itself. Don't just automatically assume that everyone who has nice armor has bought gold online or that they haven't played through the game to enjoy it before rushing ahead on the armor. Those of us who have played through it, loathe to do it for the umpteenth time just to get a nice looking set of armor or choose to play certain areas selectively. |

Yea, I currently have 10 PvE characters and have deleted quite a few. I've never e-bayed anything (and find the whole idea bewildering - why purchase the stuff, isn't the point to *play* the game). I've never farmed high end areas - just plain old farms we see in the farming section (trolls, vermin, undead in Bergin, etc) and I have more than enough money. I've been playing for over two years now, a little over 1500 hours so nothing special there anywhere. I didn't get in on the 105 monk before the UW nerfs, I didn't get in on the economy reset and 100g ecto, nor did I ever make a correct market speculation such as material cost skyrocketing shortly after Factions release. All earned the hard way (but I had fun doing it, so not complaining)
As I said above, I had a low level character ran to Granite Citadel for 15k armor. I didn't do it to show off, I did it because at the time it was cheaper than the alternative. After the 10+ times through the game I knew what I wanted, knew I wanted to keep the character, and was more than familiar enough with the game to not be "missing" anything by doing so. If it somehow makes you feel better to assume anyone that spends a decent amount of gold e-bayed then I guess you can put me in that class - while I enjoy compliments on the set/color of armor I choose I still do it for myself and do not care so much about what you think of it. |

I like how everyone thinks just because players have money saved up and can spend it that they eBayed it or got it off w/e gold selling sites there are. Please stop before you post any eBay nonsense and realise that GW has been out for over 2 years now. Just because you didn't start playing when it first came out does not mean every player eBayed their armor and weapons. Or just because you can't save/earn much money does not mean others eBay for their stuff. 2 years is a long time. Now realise that most people play everyday, that's a lot of playtime more then enough time to save up some money from farming and buy more then one set of 15k armor. Getting ran to Grotto from Ascalon costs less then a piece of 15k armor so think to yourselves before you point fingers and call people eBayers.
I have never bought gold from eBay or any other site. I earn the stuff I get. I don't care if my armor is 15k or 1k or FoW even, I buy what I like. I don't like any of the FoW sets so I haven't bought any. (15k necro Luxon FTW!) To the OP, it's not rare to see low level characters running around with 15k armor anymore it might have back in the day but not anymore. |

Like most folks have already said it is nothing new I saw a level 1 in grotto with 15k and drunkard title which made me think well what else is there to do when you got some spare cash to use and GW is kinda stalled for a PvE fan waiting for the next campaign or expansion , So I made one too , when PuGs are not worth it anymore (for me atleast) and I don't want to solo plus I got the characters I need/want, not many people do such a thing because they see it as a waste but technically it isn't cuz ya can always lvl them up and play the same missions....quests...and all the old stuff you have alerady beaten probably 100+times...So if people make them well thats on them it is their choice.
